What is the difference between Capitalism and Communism really?

In America, there are the destitute hobos, the financially unsecure, the middle class, the well to do guys, rich bastards, and rich politics. In Communism, there are usually are poor citizens and rich politics. In doesn't matter what type of government is better it seems because someone is always going to be filfthy rich while the majority just make ends meet. There is no true equality in Communism and this sure isn't the case in Capitalism so why fight over which is better?
