Movies on a plane? what is the best way?

okay, so I'm going on a trip to Belize soon and I wanted to watch some movies on my laptop on the way there (it is a long flight) I have netflix on my laptop and I was wondering if I could watch pre-determined movies on netflix while not connected to the internet. Could I just add them to my instant cue? Or do I need to rent DVD's? any awnser is appreciated, thank you.
